Fuel Product Range
Kerosene
- Kerosene is a commercial / home heating oil which is also known as 'Kero' or 'Paraffin'.
- It is economical to use, orange/red in colour and clean burning (less sulphur content).
- Also referred to as 28 second oil.
- It can be used in most homes that have an indoor boiler and also in 'Aga' Cookers for e.g. Stanley ranges (It is imperative that the correct fuel is inserted into the oil tank feeding the cooker or else damage will occur).
- To ensure it is 'Wintergrade' all year round Kerosene is treated with an anti freeze agent (-18max)
- Vat is charged at 13.5%
- Gas Oil is often referred to as Home Heating Oil, Green Diesel or Tractor Diesel & 35 second oil. It has been dyed green and may be used as home heating oil in a lot of older house burners & off road vehicles.
- Gas Oil is a cost efficient, clean and safe home heating choice.
- It can only be used for heating systems with an outdoor burner.
- It is illegal to use Gas Oil to fuel on the road vehicles.
- It can be used to run generators, fridge units on trucks, construction machinery and off road vehicles. Gas Oil is also used to fuel ships.
- Vat is charged at 13.5%
Motor Diesel (D.E.R.V)
- Motor Diesel is used for road vehicles and has the same properties as Gas Oil.
- It is also known as White Diesel or Derv.
- Derv is treated with an anti freeze agent but it is only 'Wintergrade' from September to March.
- Vat is charged at 21.5%.
Petrol
- Unleaded petrol is the most widely know product derived from oil. Also known as spirit or gasoline (USA).
- It is used for fuelling road vehicles and is considerably more expensive than diesel.

Fuel Card
- A Fuel Card provides a competitively priced on-the-road refueling package for diesel vehicles.
- Accepted at over 770 sites nationwide, Ireland’s largest fuel card network, the card ensures that user have access to lower prices regardless of location.
- The Fuel Card can be used at any filling station displaying the DCI sign. The card cannot be used in the UK or Europe.
- The company must have a minimum of 2 diesel vehicles to apply for an account.
- Cards are supplied free of charge.
Tanks

- Tanks are maintenance free and come in a range of sizes to suit your needs.

Lubricants
- Castrol is the largest supplier of lubricants and has developed technically advanced products for markets ranging from farming, transport and forestry to power generation, paper mills and metalworking.
- Oil deteriorates and gets used up in different ways and at different rates depending on several factors including whether you drive long or short journeys.
- The age and condition of the engine is also significant.
- The oil level should be checked each time you fill up with fuel.
- Do not rely on the red warning light as your guide to the oil level since the oil level may be down by 20% before the light comes on.
- This means that the remaining oil will be worked harder and some engine damage may already have been done.
- The oil in your engine should be changed regularly according to the manufacturer’s recommended intervals.

Adblue
- AdBlue was invented to help towards a major reduction in pollution, as required by the Kyoto agreement.
- Since October 2006 in Europe all new HGVs and large buses are required by law to use AdBlue to clean their gas emissions.
- AdBlue is a light, colourless liquidwith the chemical name Aqueous Urea Solution 32.5%; its brand name is automotive grade urea solution, AUS 32, AdBlue.
- AdBlue must follow very strict specifications set out in DIN70070. AdBluemust remain between -11ºC and +30ºC, and the product life is one year.
